Austin Lea (they/them) works as a health educator, trainer and analyst in the public sector. They bring 20 years of professional experience in youth services and education, including roles in reproductive and sexual health education, curriculum design, education and healthcare policy, and positive youth development.
Austin specializes in strengths-based, LGBTQIA2S+ and disability-inclusive approaches to the topics of gender and sexuality, sexual and reproductive health, adolescent development, and health equity. Their curriculum design and consulting work centers trauma-informed approaches, neurodivergent inclusion, and reproductive justice tenets.
Austin received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Willamette University, with a double major in anthropology and Spanish. They were a member of the first cohort of the Gender Diversity in Children and Youth Certificate Program, completing their coursework in 2023.
