Rosario is a leading therapist and educator in the intersecting fields of Healing Arts, somatics and depth psychology. With over twenty years of experience, her work explores the relationship between body, emotion and imagination.
Rosario received her doctorate degree from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara, CA. Her doctoral dissertation focused on the significance of somatics and expressive arts in addressing trauma and recovery, offering an innovative contribution to the field. Her education also includes an MA in psychology from the UCA University in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she is originally from; an extensive training in several expressive arts and body-centered therapeutic modalities such as the Life/Art Process, the Creative Connection, Authentic Movement, and Dream Tending; and expertise in a number psychological orientations including gestalt, psychodynamic, person-centered approach, and depth psychology.
Rosario is a core faculty member of Tamalpa Institute, the internationally recognized training center for movement-based expressive arts therapy; and has held faculty positions at Meridian University, and the California Institute of Integral Studies.
Rosario has a private practice in Portland, OR, and leads numerous lectures & workshops nationally and internationally. She has taken her work to healing and educational centers, bringing innovative models for health and embodied creativity to diverse populations.
Art Therapy is located in room 326 of Rogers Hall on the Graduate Campus.
