Grant Piros ’21 Named 2025 Assistant Principal of the Year

Piros was presented with the award at a surprise assembly in front of a gym full of excited middle school students in the fall, and will be formally honored at COSA’s annual Seaside Conference in June 2025.

The Coalition of Oregon School Administrators (COSA) and the Oregon Association of Secondary School Administrators (OASSA) have named Grant Piros, Assistant Principal of Meadow Park Middle School in Beaverton, Oregon, as Oregon’s 2025 Assistant Principal of the Year.

The joint COSA and OASSA announcement describes Piros as a driving force in elevating student achievement and fostering an inclusive learning environment:

“His work this academic year, aimed at aligning instructional practices and developing assessments to support high standards, exemplifies his commitment to closing achievement gaps and supporting marginalized students. Known for his collaborative leadership, Piros has earned the respect and trust of his colleagues by leading reflective discussions and promoting data-driven instructional decisions.”

“Grant is a passionate and collaborative leader, and his commitment to working with his team to build inclusive and equitable systems and practices that serve all students in his school community is inspiring,” says Megan Barrett, assistant professor of educational leadership and program director of the principal license program at Lewis & Clark. “I feel proud to have been part of his leadership journey!”
