Dr. Pilar Hernandez-Wolfe recently visited the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (PUJ) in Cali, Colombia, where she delivered a lecture on “The Human Animal Bond and Counseling” and two one day workshops on “Trauma and larger systems,” and “Decolonization and Counseling.” She plans to follow up on the tremendous interest that emerged about how to integrate animals into counseling. In addition, Dr. Hernandez-Wolfe set up an international placement place for bilingual students as part of the collaboration between the Master in Family Therapy at PUJ and Lewis & Clark’s Marriage, Couple and Family Therapy program.
