Professional Mental Health Counseling Outcomes
Programs in Professional Mental Health Counseling prepare students to become mental health counselors who work in a variety of settings such as community mental health clinics, schools, hospitals, the corrections system, community colleges, colleges and universities, residential treatment centers, and private practice.
Counseling Student Program Outcomes for PMHC and PMHC- Specialization in Addictions
Number of Graduates
64 students graduated between the summer of 2021 and the spring of 2022.
Program Completion Rate
Our students may complete their program in a minimum of 7 semesters, with 7-9 semesters considered on-time for a full-time student. Some students who are enrolled part-time typically graduate within 11 semesters. Of the students who initially matriculated into PMHC or PMHC-A in the Fall of 2019, approximately 92% graduated in 10 terms or less.
NCE Pass Rate
Last year, 93% of our students who took the NCE passed. Additionally the average for Lewis & Clark students was above the national average for students in CACREP accredited programs in each CACREP area as well as in the overall score.
Employment After Graduation
For the students who graduated between August 2021 through May 2022 and who were actively seeking employment, 90% were employed within six months of graduating.
