K-12 Teaching, Counseling, and Leadership
Degree Programs
Our full-time 12-13 month Elementary Education program provides a strong pedagogical foundation for elementary educators (K-5)—helping you learn the art of great teaching, while empowering you to address issues of equity and access in schools.
Grounded in social justice principles, our MAT in Secondary Education program prepares students to become transformative, equity-minded middle and high school educators (grades 6-12).
Our Educational Specialist in School Psychology program is designed for students seeking licensure as school psychologists. The Ed.S. degree demands a level of preparation significantly greater than that called for by a master’s degree.

Our master’s degree program is designed for current educators and/or building leaders who are advocates of access to quality education and learning for all students.
The Educational Specialist with Principal License program is intended for students who hold master’s degrees and are seeking to earn their Oregon Principal License and begin coursework towards earning their Professional Administrator License, in addition to their EdS.
The Lewis & Clark Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership encompasses the P–20 (preschool through baccalaureate) spectrum, affording students the unique opportunity to learn how educational pathways from pre-K/K to the significant transition into higher education play an evolving and ongoing role in educational outcomes.
License-only
In Lewis & Clark’s Principal License program, every course, text, and assignment is centered around identifying systemic inequalities that exist in the K-12 education system, fostering equitable practices and policies, and developing leadership approaches that enable you to achieve more socially just classrooms, schools, and districts.
In the Professional Administrator License program, you will make lifelong connections with peers through a network of mentors and supporters that will remain strong long after coursework is completed.
Endorsement-only
Higher Education
Available in a hybrid full-time, two-year, or part-time, three-year format, our Higher Education Student Affairs program focuses on the ways that learning and development occur in and outside the classroom, in all dimensions of life on a college campus.
