Detailed Instructions for GSEC Faculty and Staff (Coming in Late Spring)

• A reception for GSEC faculty hosted by faculty marshals Alexia de León and Heather Hadraba will be available in Gregg Pavilion from 9:00 - 9:40 a.m.

In Case of Rain

• Rain: Ponchos will be provided to graduates and faculty if it is raining. Once graduates and faculty reach Pamplin Sports Center, ushers will be on hand to take the ponchos before all enter the main arena. Ponchos will be available for graduates and faculty after the ceremony, as well. (Umbrellas will be provided to members of the platform party.)

Processional and Ceremony Locations

• Graduates report to Stamm Dining Hall with regalia by 9:00 a.m. PDT
• Faculty report to Gregg Pavilion with regalia no later than 9:30 a.m. PDT; move to processional path at 9:40 a.m. (A reception for GSEC faculty hosted by faculty marshals Alexia de León and Heather Hadraba will be available in Gregg Pavilion from 9:00 - 9:40 a.m.)
• Processional ends and the ceremony begins at Pamplin Sports Center Gym at 10:00 a.m. PDT.
• L&C Bookstore pop-up may be open throughout the ceremony at the Pamplin Gym information desk and after commencement at their Fowler Student Center location.

After-Reception (graduate campus; starting around noon - 1:30 p.m. PDT)

• Graduate Commons and Graduate Staff Parking Lot
• A complimentary or free reception featuring local food trucks including Churros Locos, Fifty Licks Ice Cream, Koi Fusion, Phat Cart, Rip City Grill, and The Whole Bowl will be held on the Graduate Campus immediately following the ceremony.
• In case of rain, the after-reception will remain on the Graduate Campus. Plentiful indoor space will be available in the South Chapel, York Commons, and York classrooms for all to enjoy their food. Live music with one of Portland’s finest DJs will be playing in York, as well.
• Reception ends at 1:30 p.m. PDT; shuttle service ends at 2:00 p.m. PDT.

• Campus Map and Shuttle Stops
• The campus pathways and parking lots consist of a variety of different materials such as asphalt, cobblestones, and pavers. There are also steep inclines/declines between the parking lots, Pamplin Sports Center Gym, and the Graduate Campus.
• General parking, including for faculty and staff, is available inside Gates 2, 4, 5, 6, and 8. Shuttle service is available to the parking lots inside Gates 2, 4, 5, and 6, and Pamplin Gym from 8:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. PDT. (Shuttle service ends at 2:00 p.m. PDT.)
• The Gate 6 stop is also the shuttle drop-off and pick-up point for the after-reception on the graduate campus.
• Parking inside Gate 7 on the Graduate Campus is reserved as follows:
  • West Parking Loop (by the water tower): for those who have requested mobility accommodations
  • East Parking Loop (by Graduate Admissions): for graduate school faculty and staff
  • Staff Parking Lot (by Sequoia): for the food trucks for the reception
• Parking at Gate 8 on the Graduate Campus is available for general parking (the new parking lot).
