Affordable Mental Health Care in Portland, Oregon

Dedicated to providing high quality, low cost mental health services, the Lewis & Clark Community Counseling Center provides individuals, families, couples, and children with easily accessible, culturally informed, and world-class treatment. As part of Lewis & Clark’s Graduate School of Education and Counseling, services at the Community Counseling Center are provided by advanced therapist-trainees enrolled in the graduate school’s counseling and therapy programs, under the direct supervision of their faculty and licensed supervisors.

We currently offer both in-person and telehealth appointments. New clients should fill out and submit the Request Appointment form to be added to our waitlist and contacted for a brief phone screening when we have availability.

Our Services Are Culturally-Responsive and Trauma-Informed

The Community Counseling Center provides comprehensive individual, couples/relationship, and family counseling services to members of the community. Our services are sensitive and responsive toward a client’s physical ability, culture, race/ethnicity, social and political processes, socioeconomic status, exile/migration status, religious and spiritual beliefs, language, education, gender, sexual orientation and age, and are conducted in a trauma-informed manner. Brief and long-term approaches are available.

Specialized Problem Gambling Clinic

We can provide referrals for individuals, couples, and families to our no cost Lewis & Clark Problem Gambling Services, housed within the Community Counseling Center. Services tailor treatment to your unique situation and respect your pace for change, with opportunities to learn about problem gambling and strategies to combat it, begin addressing financial problems, and when ready, share experiences with others in similar situations. Long-term, ongoing support is available, as well as intensive shorter term treatment.
