Celebrating Growth With Art
WE ARE HERE, currently installed in the Art Therapy Gallery at the Community Counseling Center, features art by art therapy faculty, students, supervisors, and alumni, and celebrates the opening of a new Lewis & Clark community space for art making.
September 2024 will mark the art therapy program’s sixth year at Lewis & Clark. Program director Mary Andrus describes its expansion into the Community Counseling Center as “an incredible moment in our growth and evolution.”
WE ARE HERE intends to educate the public about the art therapy program, to honor the unique people who are in our community, and to celebrate this important moment of growth and expansion to serve Portland.
WE ARE HERE runs from August 23 - November 15, 2024. Visitors are invited to view the exhibit on the following Saturdays from 12 - 3 pm. Faculty from the art therapy program will be staffing the exhibit on these dates as well. A selection of art from the exhibit is featured in the online gallery below.
