Representatives 2025-26
Nichole Champion
Counseling, Therapy, and School Psychology department, Professional Mental Health Counseling program
I am passionate about mental health, wellness, and building community. I am currently working on a project called the Holistic Wellness Initiative (HWI), a youth-focused nonprofit that creates spaces for young people to explore well-being through mindfulness, art, yoga, and nature-based activities. Through this work, I have cultivated skills in leadership, collaboration, and advocacy that I am eager to bring into my role as a Graduate School Student Union Network Representative.
My primary goal as a SUN Representative is to weave holistic wellness into the graduate school experience. Graduate education is both rewarding and demanding, and I believe intentional wellness programming such as stress-regulation workshops, yoga and meditation sessions, creative arts spaces, and peer support groups can help students navigate academic pressures and life stressors.
Grace Geist
Counseling, Therapy, and School Psychology department, School Psychology program
As a School Psychology student, Grace is committed to social justice and equity. She brings this commitment to her practicum placement site at a high school in the Beaverton school district. Grace also works as one of the Student Ambassadors for the Graduate Admissions Office where she connects with prospective students. Within her program, Grace is part of the Social Committee, helping to plan gatherings between all the cohorts to come together.
Grace is part of the Oregon School Psychology Association on the Government and Professional Relations Committee. She will also be presenting research at the National Association of School Psychology conference this upcoming year.
In her free time, she is an avid birder, loves to go hiking and backpacking. Indoors, she enjoys spending time with her cats, practicing yoga, playing Zelda, and doing puzzles while listening to fantasy audiobooks.
Abby Kraai
Counseling, Therapy, and School Psychology department, Marriage, Couple, & Family Therapy program
Jorge Orozco-Roller
Counseling, Therapy, and School Psychology department, Professional Mental Health Counseling—Specialization in Addictions program
I am a Third Culture Kid and proud Mexican-American with big dreams to give back to marginalized communities here in the PNW. My belief is that seeing and doing need to happen in tandem to effectively prepare us to enter the field of counseling as advocates for our clients. This is not an easy line of work, but by building connections and strengthening our communities I am confident that we can make change happen both in our backyard and at the national level.
In my spare time I enjoy painting, kayaking, reality TV, and bird watching. Feel free to connect with me about anything and everything. I am here for YOU!
