Representatives 2024-25

2023-24 GSUN rep. Janmine Liebert Jasmine Libert

Counseling, Therapy, & School Psychology Department; School Psychology Program

My name is Jasmine (she/her), and I am in my third year of the School Psychology program. As a second-generation Filipino American and a fourth-generation Slovenian/German American, I bring a unique perspective to my work. Last year, I served as a GSUN representative and am excited to continue in this role.

Growing up in a suburban community exposed me to both privilege through education and leadership opportunities, and marginalization through covert racism and intergenerational trauma. These experiences have fueled my passion for questioning systems that perpetuate inequality and advocating for transparency and accessibility. I am particularly interested in examining disaggregated data that reveals gaps in education service delivery and collaborating with fellow educators on shared goals that benefit students and teachers.

I am passionate about intergenerational healing, restorative justice, and accessibility. Outside of school, I enjoy discovering new walking trails in my neighborhood, attending weekly trivia, and listening to podcasts. I also volunteer with a local mutual aid group that provides essential supplies to Portland’s unhoused community because I believe everyone deserves to thrive.

As a GSUN representative this year, I plan to continue the DEI Challenge Newsletter, which highlights themes of accessibility and accountability. My goal is to provide resources that foster interdisciplinary networking and knowledge sharing, driving positive change in our community.

Graduate Student Union Representative Lindsay Patiño Lindsay Patiño

Teaching, School Counseling, & Leadership Studies Department; School Counseling Program

I am a second-year graduate student in the School Counseling program at Lewis & Clark College. I am passionate about supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional growth, which has led me to pursue a career in school counseling. This year, I’ve started my internship at David Douglas High School as a school counselor intern. When I’m not at the high school, I work as a Title I teacher at the elementary level. Outside of my professional and academic life, I enjoy sightseeing, salsa dancing, and playing pickleball. I also have a passion for interior design and love transforming spaces to create warm and welcoming environments.

Graduate Student Union Representative Sean Solomon Sean Solomon

Counseling, Therapy, & School Psychology Department; Marriage, Couple, and Family Therapy Program

Hello! I’m Sean (any pronouns work) and I am both a second year student in the MCFT program and a second year GSUN rep. My first term as your representative was spent working on helping establish Community Dialogues and re-integrating graduate students’ presence in the Lewis & Clark community; this year, however, I would like to spend my time working toward bridging the gaps between each cohort and each program in the various grad school communities. As your SUN rep, I think it’s invaluable to not only be connected with those who came before and after us in our respective programs, but it is also incredibly important for us to connect with those outside of our circles. As a budding therapist, I always wonder what lessons people can teach me, and I’d love to bring that attitude into my work as your GSUN rep. With this said, my email (seand@lclark.edu) will always be open to discussing different methods of bringing our communities together. Please don’t hesitate to speak your voice, or simply say hi if you see me around!
