Applying Classroom Knowledge Through Hands-On Experience

Every student at Lewis & Clark Graduate School puts coursework into practice through their required practicum, internship, or student teaching experience. The Office of Strategic Partnerships and Clinical Placement connects our candidates to high-quality field-based experiences in our local communities. Our placement staff partner with school districts and mental health agencies across Oregon and Washington to provide a diverse array of robust, professional, and social justice-oriented field experiences to our future educators and counselors.

School-Based Placements Clinic-Based Placements

    Students at the Graduate School provide approximately 200,000 hours of service in K-12 schools and mental health agencies throughout the year.

  • 1,000 

    Number of hours teacher education candidates will spend in a K-12 classroom prior to graduation.
