My program prepared me to approach my first year teaching with restorative practices, social emotional learning, and a justice focused mindset. My professors also reassured me that they would be available post grad, and I’ve held them to that and keep in touch! For the record, they’ve been a huge help; during the program and after.

Good Talk
Have Americans lost the ability to have civil conversations about controversial issues? Is meaningful discussion disappearing in an era of increased political polarization? Whether it’s a tense conversation over a holiday meal, a fiery exchange with a stranger on social media, or a heated political argument with a neighbor, many people in today’s world are adamant about their opinions and disinclined to listen to other viewpoints.
Graduate School Alumni Association Services and Benefits
Alumni are issued an Alumni Association ID card upon graduation. This card allows access to athletic facilities, the library, and certain events.
Alumni can use the college’s athletic facilities including Pamplin Sports Center, Zehntbauer Swimming Pavilion, track, and tennis courts, during recreational hours by presenting their alumni card.
Alumni dependents may also use sports facilities when accompanied by an alum — the alum should email athleticsevents@lclark.edu with the dependent’s name, date of birth, and relationship to the alum to purchase a card for each dependent ($35 per year per dependent).
For help locating a current student, staff or faculty member, type the name into the website search box.
The L&C magazine contains information about current students, faculty and alumni of the graduate school, the law school, and the undergraduate college. Alumni receive L&C, published twice a year, at no charge. You can also view L&C online.
Don’t forget to email gradalum@lclark.edu to let us know what is happening in your life so we can include you in the Class Notes section!
Alumni Relations provides assistance in locating classmates. Alumni data is kept confidential, but we will forward letters or contact alumni on your behalf. Email gradalum@lclark.edu if you need assistance in this regard.
Be sure to let us know whenever you change your address, phone number, and/or email address so that we can keep in touch with you, and help other alumni connect with you.
