Project AMPLIFY Scholarship

Project AMPLIFY (Advancing Multilingual Practices and Learning with Inclusion For Youth) is funded by a US Department of Education grant that provides scholarship funding to selected candidates who are completing the Multilingual Culturally Responsible Certificate (MLCR) while enrolled in the School Psychology EdS degree program at Lewis & Clark.

Project AMPLIFY Scholarship Requirements

  • Complete the 8-credit MLCR certificate. Participants will complete the 8-credit MLCR certificate, which includes 4-credit hours in addition to the 64-credit EdS degree program while enrolled in the program (68 credits total).
  • Complete practicum and internship in a partner district. Lewis & Clark has partnered with six Oregon school districts and Education Service Districts (ESDs) across the state through Project AMPLIFY (Reynolds School District, Gresham Barlow School District, Woodburn School District, Parkrose School District, Southern Oregon ESD, and Douglas ESD). Project AMPLIFY scholarship recipients will complete practicum and internship fieldwork experiences in one of these partner districts.
  • Work for one year in a partner district after graduation. In addition to program fieldwork experiences, upon graduation Project AMPLIFY scholarship recipients will work in one of the partner districts to fulfill a 1-year post-graduation service obligation.
  • Submit a personal statement essay with your application. Write a personal statement essay (5 double-spaced pages maximum), responding to the following prompt:

    How will Project AMPLIFY help you to achieve your personal and professional goals? How is Project AMPLIFY and the MLCR certificate training an ideal fit for you? Please provide any additional information that would help us in determining your passion and commitment to completing the certificate and serving culturally and linguistically diverse students, families, and school communities.
