Andrew Saultz Selected Dean of the Graduate School
Andrew Saultz, an alumnus of L&C’s Master of Arts in Teaching program, begins his tenure on August 4.

McKenzie Darr, EdS School Psychology ’21, Named Oregon School Psychologist of the Year
Now in her fourth year with the Dallas School District, Darr is one of two school psychologists serving students at Whitworth and Oakdale Heights elementary schools, Dallas Community Charter School, and Dallas High School. Last year she served 86 students through the evaluation process and 90 students the year prior.

Dr. Michael Yellowbird to Deliver Commencement Keynote
Dr. Yellowbird’s research focuses on the effects of colonization and methods of decolonization, ancestral health, intermittent fasting, Indigenous mindfulness, neurodecolonization, mindful decolonization, and the cultural significance of Rez dogs.

Exploring Self and Professional Identity
In their 2025 capstone presentations and gallery installation, Metamorphic, art therapy pre-professionals in their final year of the program explore the connection between their artist self and art therapist identity. The students will present their work on April 7 and April 14, both online and in South Chapel on the graduate campus.

Krishnan Ranjani, MAT ’11, Honored for Excellence in Teaching
The White House Office of Science and Technology announced the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching awards on January 13, 2025. Krishnan was recognized as a 2023 Mathematics awardee from Oregon.

Art at the Center
The Lewis & Clark Art Therapy program has released a self-reflective, 22-minute documentary film exploring the program’s expansion into the Lewis & Clark Community Counseling Center and discussing the benefits that the new space has to offer to both graduate students and community members alike.
