(They/Them)
Hi! I’m Kate (they/them) and I have been in the counseling field since 2019. I have worked in private practice, school-based settings, peer counseling organizations, and community mental health spaces. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Gambling Addiction Registrant and have been the Assistant Director of Lewis & Clark Problem Gambling Services since 2025.

I’m also an adjunct professor at the Lewis & Clark Graduate School of Education & Counseling, as well as a consultant for those seeking gambling treatment certification around the state of Oregon.

I have a particular passion for working with folks who have been impacted by early childhood trauma or adversity, especially those who identify as neurodiverse or as part of the queer community. In my work, I strive to create counseling relationships that integrate not only an awareness of the mind-body impacts of trauma but also the effects and influences of societal systems on both your past and your present.
I see my role as a counselor to be one that provides you with concrete tools while also walking alongside you in your pain, celebrating your successes, delighting in your joys, and challenging you in ways that support self-insight, healing, and recovery—all while highlighting and working on behalf of your fundamental rights to dignity, equality, and justice.
