
Dr. Laura Barbour is Program Director and Assistant Professor in the Elementary Education Master in Teaching Program at Lewis & Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling. Dr. Barbour brings a wide range of educational and counseling experience to the classroom as a special education teacher and professional school counselor. She received her PhD in Counseling from Oregon State University, her Masters’ Degree in Education and Human Development from George Washington University, and her licensure training in School Counseling from Lewis & Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling. Dr. Barbour’s professional and research interests include compassion fatigue, compassion satisfaction, self-care, and self-compassion among teachers and school counselors.
