
Tyson is a school psychologist and behavior consultant working for the last 15 years in the Beaverton School District. He holds a Master of Science degree in School Psychology from George Fox University. His professional interests include assessment of traumatic brain injuries, implementing Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for adolescent populations, and leading school teams with tragedy and crisis responses. He also contributes to research regarding the identification of minority populations for special education and inequities in school discipline practices.
Outside of work, Tyson enjoys exploring national parks, baking, music, paddleboarding, and hanging out with his partner, two children, and dog.
