Pamela Vohnson is a nationally certified school psychologist. She has worked as a school psychologist in Portland Public Schools and Beaverton School District. Previous to becoming a late-career school psychologist, Pamela taught French for over 30 years at Oregon Episcopal School. She began her teaching career as an adjunct instructor in French at Portland State University, George Fox College, and Lewis & Clark College. Pamela’s focus in working with students preparing to become school psychologists is to connect with students, families, and teachers, emphasizing student strengths and honoring the connections between students and their families. She emphasizes the importance of making education and special education understandable and accessible as families and school teams work together to find what works best for each individual student.
In her free time, Pamela reads, knits, cooks, gardens, and plays bridge online with friends and former colleagues near and far.
Counseling, Therapy, and School Psychology is located in room 326 of Rogers Hall on the Graduate Campus.
