School Psychology Adjunct Professor

Sabrina (she/her/hers), originally from Los Angeles, California, currently resides in Portland, Oregon. She has an Educational Specialist degree from Lewis and Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from California State University Channel Islands.

Sabrina has a professional and personal interest in systems-level work as well as collaborating closely with children and families. Equitable practices are at the center of her approach to School Psychology. Sabrina currently serves as a School Psychologist, Cultural Consultant, and Steering Leader in the school district she works in. As a Cultural Consultant and Psychologist, Sabrina is passionate about examining the inequities upheld by the systems we live and work in, centering the experience of BIPOC, immigrants, and refugees. She aids in data collection, analysis, and dissemination of special education and discipline disproportionality data and consults and collaborates with individual students, families, teachers, administrators, executives, and the Oregon Department of Education. Additionally, Sabrina employs a Dis/ability Critical Race studies approach to all facets of her work and teaching. Sabrina is invested in including and centering the voices and lived experiences of her students as valuable co-teachers in the graduate learning process, as well as challenging students to engage in critical self-reflection.

In her personal life, Sabrina enjoys rock climbing, hiking, reading, and spending time with her friends, partner, and cat.
