Rion Andrew Roberts (they/them) has over 15 years experience teaching at both the university and secondary levels. They earned their MAT from Lewis & Clark Graduate School in 2017, and have served as a secondary social science teacher in Oregon public schools since then.
Four the past three years, they have run a Queer History elective course supporting LGBTQIA2S+ students and introducing them to the comparative evolution, erasure, and reclaiming of Queer Identity throughout the world.
They hold advanced degrees in Political Science and Rhetoric from San Francisco State University and UC Berkeley, respectively, where they were an instructor from 2009 to 2014. Their academic training focused on Early Modern and 20th century political theory and rhetoric, Renaissance Rhetoric, Gender Studies, and Queer Theory.
They were a part of the first cohort of the Gender Diversity in Children and Youth Certificate program at Lewis & Clark Graduate School, receiving their certificate in 2023.
