Madeline Kozloff (she/her) achieved a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology and Master’s in Education Leadership, both from Lewis & Clark College. She was part of the first cohort of the Gender Diversity in Children and Youth Certificate program at Lewis & Clark Graduate School.
She has been a school counselor in the Newberg School District for nine years. In Newberg, her work in equity and inclusion has made her an outspoken advocate for LGBTQIA2S+ and BIPOC staff, students, and families. Madeline was part of a team that worked with Oregon Department of Education creating and teaching professional development to the entire Newberg School District staff in support of LGBTQIA2S+ and BIPOC staff and students.
She has been trained in Collaborative Problem Solving, ASIST suicide intervention, and participated in the Taking it Up Challenge for antiracism.
In her free time, Madeline is an avid RPG video game fan, loves reading, listening to music and playing D&D. Students’ needs during the pandemic sparked her and another coworker to create Tales from Talanya: Fantastival Adventures in Social Skills, a TTRPG and social skills curriculum. They are currently in the process of working to get their curriculum into schools.
