AT 515 Art Therapy Group Psychotherapy
Jolie Guillebeau is a board certified art therapist and licensed professional counselor with experience utilizing art therapy in a variety of mental health settings, including day treatment, community mental health, and therapeutic education programs. She graduated from Marylhurst University and has supervised Lewis and Clark Art Therapy interns for several years.
She is also the owner of Calm and Courage Therapy, a private practice in Southeast Portland, and feels passionately about providing mental health support for children and young adults. For twelve years, she served as the Chief Emotional Officer for the World Domination Summit, a gathering of creatives and independent thinkers.
Prior to beginning her work in art therapy, Jolie was a high school teacher and studio artist. She taught internationally for five years, working primarily in West Africa. Her cross-cultural experiences inform her therapeutic practices and her own artwork. She approaches clinical work from a contextual and systematic lens, while also integrating important humanistic principles to dismantle the power dynamic often present in therapy.
During her free time, Jolie is a proud gamer. She is committed to celebrating small wins, good books, self-compassion, creativity, and soy ice cream sandwiches.
Art Therapy is located in room 326 of Rogers Hall on the Graduate Campus.
