Hala Samaan is an interdisciplinary artist whose work includes bookbinding, textiles, painting, and mixed media. She received her bachelors of Interdisciplinary Studies of Art from the University of Central Florida, focusing on both studio art and psychology. Hala is on track to graduate Spring 2023 with her Master’s in Art Therapy and Counseling from Lewis & Clark College.

Artist Statement

Dumplingsis a handmade art journal that explores the concept of process driven art vs. product driven art. Dumplings was created to process and reflect on weekly experiences as an art therapy student intern.
