Jessika Chi, PhD, currently serves as the Assistant Dean for Institutional Diversity at Reed College. In her role, she works to implement institutional systems to create a diverse and inclusive learning, teaching, and working environment. She oversees the multicultural resource center and community engagement programs, as well as leads campus-wide diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives designed to support the recruitment, transition, and retention of historically underrepresented students, staff, and faculty.

Dr. Chi’s research explores the social, cultural, and political context of education and exposes a critical examination of race and privilege and its role in maintaining systems of inequity in higher education. She has over a decade of experience in student affairs and higher education leadership.
Dr. Chi has served on the NASPA Region V Advisory Board since 2013 and is also an adjunct professor for Lewis & Clark College and the University of San Francisco.
