Watzek Library
Watzek Library is suitably located at the heart of the undergraduate campus and supports both the College of Arts and Sciences and the Graduate School of Education and Counseling. The library shares an online catalog with Boley Law Library and provides access to over 150 research databases. It is a member of the Orbis Cascade Alliance, a consortium of Northwest academic libraries. The consortium’s Summit union catalog allows students, faculty, and staff to easily search and request materials from 37 member institutions. The library is open 24 hours a day during the Fall and Spring semesters. Librarians offer specialized reference assistance, instructional services, and research consultations. library.lclark.edu
Graduate Campus Deliveries and Returns
Graduate students may have library materials delivered directly to the bookshelves located in York Graduate Center Commons. Find an item using the library catalog, click the “Request” button and follow the instructions.
Faculty and staff may have library materials delivered daily directly to the program workroom located in Rogers Hall. Find an item using the library catalog, click the “Request” button and follow the instructions to have your item delivered to the Graduate Campus. It will be delivered to the bookshelves located in York Graduate Center Commons.
Library materials may be returned to Watzek Library by placing items in the book drop located in the York Graduate Center Commons. Materials left in the drop box are picked up by library staff once a day, Monday through Friday.

Library Liaisons
Elaine Hirsch is the Watzek Library liaison to the Counseling Psychology, Educational Leadership, School Counseling, and Teacher Education programs. She facilitates the selection of library materials in the disciplines, keeps the departments informed of new library resources and services, and assists with information and instructional needs of faculty and students.
Other Resources
Boley Law Library
The largest law library in Oregon, Boley Law library has a complete collection of basic Anglo-American law materials and is a significant research facility. The materials in the library include: federal, regional and select state reports, digests, federal and state statutes and codes, Shepard’s citators, loose leaf services, legal encyclopedias, U.S. and foreign law reviews, and treatises on law-related subjects. lawlib.lclark.edu
College Archives & Special Collections
The Lewis & Clark College Archives has a large collection of records relating to the college’s history including approximately 3,000 cubic feet of school records dating from 1867 to present. The special collections include the most complete collection of printed materials on the Lewis & Clark Expedition ever assembled, a wide body of writings by the poet William Stafford, and other materials.
Visual Resources Collection
The Visual Resources Collection is a teaching resource of Watzek Library. Located on the third floor of Watzek Library (room 343), the facilities contain a scanning station and an image research station for faculty, staff and student use by appointment. Our digital collections include 3,500 images in MDID and 21,000 images in a collection hosted in ARTstor. Partnered with our 50,000 35mm slide analog collection, these images represent art and architecture from a wide range of media, time periods, world regions and cultures. Use of the collection is limited to members of the Lewis & Clark College community. Please visit the Visual Resources Collection website for more information.
